Having the
ability to excel in a sport may get you on a professional team, but it’s not
enough if you blow it. It happens. Many athletes don’t know how to make
themselves “marketable.” Here’s the solution: prepare for success with a
course called the School of Sports.
In order to make a smooth transition into the
workplace, it’s important to know what you want. Learning the difference
between a job and a career is critical. Helping you build a solid foundation for
a successful future begins with the Career Connections course.
How you think affects your behavior as well as
your success. Attitude ties in with self-image; but that’s only the beginning.
You can have a good attitude and a positive self image, but no motivation; and
you won’t go very far. If you want to acquire job readiness skills and keep
moving in the right direction, check out the Business Boot Camp.
This commonly used word refers to the human
differences that go beyond race and gender. The business community requires its
employees to understand and value these differences. You can learn more about
the dimensions of diversity by taking a course called The EDGE
Advantage.
You don’t have to be the person at the top
to be a good leader. The important thing is that you have the skills to provide
direction, motivate people into action and guide them along a path. You can
learn about your particular leadership style in the LeadershipSeeds course.

YUE courses are most successful when learners can
participate in a group consisting of 10 to 20 members. There are educational and
community organization as well as faith-based institution in your community that
are collaborating to offer the YUE program. The registration form is a link from
the course that interests you. You must submit a registration request to receive
instructions and a course access code.
The
YUE program is offered in “learning communities” called YUE ZONES, which are
safe places where disenfranchised youth can share ideas for success, take
developmental e-courses via the Internet, and participate in classroom-style
workshops that promote business literacy and entrepreneurial enrichment. YUE
ZONES consist of a network, genuinely linked and functioning, of community
partners such as youth-oriented organizations, schools, faith-based
institutions, libraries and recreation centers. There is no cost for community
partners to join this collaborative youth development effort. Click here for additional information.
